Peer Educator Training Weekend - Saturday 4 April - Sunday 5 April 2020

What is a Peer Educator? A Peer Educator is a Ranger or young leader aged up to 26 years, who can run sessions on a range of different topics including; gender stereotyping, mental resilience, body confidence and self-esteem. Sessions can be for Brownies, Guides, Rangers and even leaders! You can also run sessions outside of Guiding.

During the weekend you will:

  • Gain skills needed to be a peer educator including leadership and presentation skills
  • Gain new ideas for games and activities
  • Learn your safeguarding responsibilities
  • Be introduced to the resources, Breaking Free and Think Resilient
  • Start planning a session
  • Learn to run sessions to empower young people

Venue: Girlguiding Leicestershire County Office, 97 Princess Road East, Leicester LE1 7DW

Time: 9am Saturday until 4pm Sunday

Cost: £25 - includes catering

Requirements: you must attend the two days training, complete the Peer Education e-learning, level 1 and 2 a safe space e-learning and watch the Breaking Fee and Think Resilient videos and complete the quizzes.
