Peer Educator Training Weekend - Saturday 4 April - Sunday 5 April 2020
What is a Peer Educator? A Peer Educator is a Ranger or young leader aged up to 26 years, who can run sessions on a range of different topics including; gender stereotyping, mental resilience, body confidence and self-esteem. Sessions can be for Brownies, Guides, Rangers and even leaders! You can also run sessions outside of Guiding.
During the weekend you will:
Venue: Girlguiding Leicestershire County Office, 97 Princess Road East, Leicester LE1 7DW
Time: 9am Saturday until 4pm Sunday
Cost: £25 - includes catering
Requirements: you must attend the two days training, complete the Peer Education e-learning, level 1 and 2 a safe space e-learning and watch the Breaking Fee and Think Resilient videos and complete the quizzes.

Girlguiding Leicestershire have launched a Growth Challenge badge.
Each section has a list of challenges to choose from including wearing their uniform to school and promoting Girlguiding locally.
Rainbows are required to complete 3 challenges.
Brownies are required to complete 4 challenges.
Guides/Ranger/young leaders/adult volunteers are required to complete 5 challenges.
Each section will receive a different coloured hemmed badge.

Girlguiding Leicestershire's Water Weekend is on Friday 15 May - Sunday 17 May 2020.
WHAT IS IT?
This is an opportunity open to all Guides and Rangers in Leicestershire and Rutland to camp, explore new activities and make new friends.
The cost of the weekend is a central fee of £50 per Guide or Ranger, £10 per adult volunteer which includes all the activities and a badge. Units will need to add an additional cost for food.
An additional cost of £10 per person is charged for anyone wanting to participate in the high ropes/climbing and abseiling.
A non-refundable deposit of £20 per young member is required with the booking form.
Bookings open: now and will close on either 3 April 2020 or when the event is fully booked.

Bookings are now open for Jungle Jinks, our county Brownie Camp Thursday 13 - Sunday 16 August 2020 at Topstones, £125 per Brownie
Please see below for the booking form and letter to leaders. A sample letter to parents has been create for each unit to adapt, please contact the office or your commissioner for a copy.
Bookings will close on 28th February 2020 or before if the camp is full. Bookings will be dealt with on a first come, first served basis and will be confirmed once both booking form and deposit payments have been received.
